Instrument trays designed to interface with sterilizing, processing wire baskets and solid containers to be used through all phases of instrument reprocessing: washing and disinfection, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection and packing, sterilization, storage, distribution and usage. Specially designed for instrument circulation within a Central Sterile Processing/CSSD and OR/point-of-use Sterile Processing/TSSU, as well as at sub-sterilization units.

DIN Standard design
The range of instrument trays consists of 2 modules, both adapted to fit inside a wire basket or container of the DIN standard. This design allows easy work and full coverage of the instrument set-up for surgical procedures. Additional specialized instrument trays can be combined with a basic instrument tray set-up, thus covering the full requirement of instruments used by each user. This also reduces the basic instrument requirements and gives more flexible usage. The design not only contributes to the utilization of Getinge washer-disinfectors and sterilizers but also works with other equipment in the reprocessing flow.
Easy to clean and disinfect
The wire net design allows full inspection and sorting of the contained, thus increasing the efficiency of the reprocessing workflow. It also assures full water coverage of the instruments inside the washer-disinfector, as water can easily penetrate the wire net, even on the sides of the tray. With this design, the utilization of the wash rack is optimal, as trays can be loaded close together, side by side.
Self-drying after disinfection with hot water
The wire net design promotes easy drying, as water does not remain on horizontal surfaces. An electrolyte-polished surface adds a second advantage as water drops runs off even easier, thus making the tray self-drying after disinfection with hot water (min. +85°C). Circulating air can easily reach every part of the tray and the instruments included. as sides and bottom are designed as a wire net.
Precision manufacturing - safe operation
The tray is designed as a stainless steel wire net, with a maximum square opening of 4.5 mm. The wire diameter is 1 mm. This gives optimum cleaning results while preventing instruments from penetrating the sides of the tray. The tray is equipped with two inner-mounted drop handles measuring 130x40mm to ease moving of the tray.
The large tray includes a wire frame base, making the tray easy to stack and thereby saving space at workplaces. The bottom frame also allows automated transports on various designs of conveyors, as it is easy to transfer.
